MEET KATIE MAYEDA, LCSW

Hello!

My mission is to use my years of professional and personal experience, coupled with my whole-hearted passion, to support the growth of professionals within the public health and faith-based communities. My desire is to teach the skills necessary to equip Helpers to thrive in their calling.

I have 20 years of experience working in public health supporting adolescents and adults struggling with mental illness, substance use, homelessness, and severe medical conditions. My experience crosses multiple settings including residential, outpatient, and the criminal legal system.

Katie

Welcome

To really understand who I am, you need to know a few of the nicknames my teams have given me over the years:

1. Most Likely to be Richard

Simmons’ Life Coach

2. Ms. Frizzle (Magic School Bus)

3. Mind Ninja

On a serious note, I have the ability to bring people together to address complex and difficult issues by moving everyone toward a tangible and data-driven action plan.

I search for new and innovative ways to integrate best practices and excellent services throughout the fields of public health, criminal justice and faith based communities.

I’m passionate about ensuring equal access to services, providing whole person care, and Helping the Helpers who work tirelessly to transform lives.

"Katie is undoubtedly one of the most engaging, enthusiastic and resourceful leaders I have ever met. She has a charismatic personality that captivates anyone she meets. And yet while she is extremely outgoing and social, she has a keen ability to establish trust quickly with individuals because of the level of sincerity, compassion and maturity that she displays in one-on-one conversations."
